Arithiel

Arithiel – Mostly wood work, almost no trade exists – populated almost entirely by Wood Elves

Arithiel is built around an ancient forest shrine, and is the only area of the forest where Wood elves care to let themselves be seen by outsiders. The town is thought of by these elves merely as a repository of equipment and a central meeting area, surrounding their largest temple. Basically a warrior society, Wood Elves are taught at a young age how to fight, wield weapons, survive in the wilderness, and stalk silently through the shadows of the forest. Wood elves do not learn to live off the land “just in case they should need to”, they learn it as a way of life. They consider themselves the stewards of the southern forests, and while they will tend to the needs of travelers, as a society they do not place any importance on the thought of profiting from trade, though some individuals tend to do so. Not all Wood Elves end up as fighters, however; depending on the bloodline, they might as well end up a blacksmith or mason, or carpenter. Arithiel is essentially a stepping stone between the Kingdom of Naera, Mithora, and Cerule valley, and is generally the preferred route in and out of Naera during cold winter months.
